Sign up for the National Coaches Clinic coming to Chicago in January 2004! The link above will probably give specifics around October 2003.
I went to the January 2002 Clinic and to the December 2002 Advanced Clinic and they were both very good!  Hundreds of coaches from all over attend these clinics! It is also a great opportunity to see many displays and demos of softball cloths, equipment, and gear.

Softball Summer Camp announced! Dates are June 29 - July 2, 2003 (half days) for only $100. Strange, I rechecked the website on April 19 and found it the camp info has been deleted from the website. Trying to get clarification if this camp is still on.

Total Skills Camp for the Beginner / Intermediate player. Dates are July 8-10, 2003, 9am to 1pm).

Hitting Camp July 14-16.  Beginner / Intermediate is -am - 11am. Intermediate / Advanced is 1-3pm.

Total Skills Camp for the Intermediate / Advanced player. Dates are July 21-23,  2003, 9am to 1pm).

The 2002 Fall Hitting Clinic for softball players 12 and up was excellent. Well worth it. Liz learned a lot. Beautiful campus!

I know nothing about this Madison, WI softball program, except that they hold camps in March, BEFORE our season begins. However, they also have a brand new coach and staff. Check it out in 2004.

The Worth Club K in LaVergne, TN, at 25,000 square feet, is the largest training facility in the world exclusively for female fastpitch softball players! Each week, over 800 athletes attend regular class sessions, along with hundreds of other athletes across the country who attend periodically for specialized instruction. The owner of this facility was at the National Sports Clinics December 2002-advanced clinic and she is very knowledgeable about softball. Serious players should consider this facility.

Nike Summer Softball Camps (owned by US Sports Camps) have been scheduled in Chicago's north and northwest suburbs for many years. I don't know anyone who has attended these camps, but they have been around for a few years ...always a good sign.

Q. Hey coach... what batting cages should I go to?

A.  If you live in or around Lincolnwood, the best batting cages I've found for girls fastpitch softball is at Warren Park. Located on Western just south of Pratt, these new cages use state-of-the-art Jugs underhand fastpitch machines.
