Pitching and Other Softball Camps in Illinois

Written Easter Sunday, 2000

My daughter Elizabeth joined a pitching clinic that ran December – February. Leigh Podlesny, Assistant softball Coach for De Paul University Girl’s Fast Pitch Softball, ran the clinic. You may recall that the Blue Demons made it to the “final four” in last year’s College Softball World Series. Last year, De Paul was rated number 1 in pitching.

Leigh was a famous pitcher in Fast Pitch softball circles, and all of her coach’s are former or current pitchers. They have been doing this for a few years now, and together they comprise what is arguably the best pitching clinic in the country.

Elizabeth suffered a dislocated shoulder (in an accident unrelated to pitching) and therefore did not reap the full benefit of this clinic. Still, we attended enough sessions before her accident for me to highly recommend it for anyone wanting to learn “how to do it right.” Leigh is very understanding and Elizabeth is now “making up” her missed lessons.

Leigh has several other mini-camps coming up…for other than pitching… Hitting, Fundamental, Advanced. To find Leigh’s and other camp offerings in Illinois do the following:
